ADCC History
Established in 1981 as a forum for discussion among our business leaders and to improve business opportunities in our area, in a manner typical of small towns in Ontario, the Chamber focuses on initiatives to attract retail shopping and to enhance community life. By 1995, the membership of the chamber had settled at 80 members.
In 1998 the Alliston & District Chamber of Commerce won the Ontario Chamber of Commerce "Chamber of the year" Award.
Today the Chamber is proud to have 280 members!
Task Forces have been established to support other organizations with in the larger area of the Town of New Tecumseth and South Simcoe County. The Alliston Chamber is in a facility boasting several offices, public washrooms and a large meeting room. The Chamber office is in a highly visible location on the main east entrance into Alliston - an ideal location for an Ontario Tourist Information Centre. |
