Chef Clyde Almeida owns local restaurant Indian Flames. He has been a chef for 26 years and received his training in Karachi at the Hotel Marriott. He has two diplomas and one degree in cooking. In Canada he completed his training at Liaison College and graduated with Honours. Chef Almeida offers cooking classes and raises funds for local charities. Come out and some new ideas, taste some samples and get a recipe card.
The Chili Cook-off will showcase chili from 5 local restaurants (The Modern Market, Nan's Coffee Bar, Kelly's Kitchen, Indian Flames, & Sara's Catering) who are all competing to take home the trophy for 1st place. Distinguished judges will vote for the top spot. Members of the audience will be allowed to taste samples and decide for themselves!
Be sure to bring your camera to take pictures with Teddy the Tiger of Rainbow Dreams Mascots in the Kid's Corner on Saturday from 11am - 2pm and Sunday from 12pm - 2pm. Lots of other fun activities to keep the kids busy including kids soccer demo & activities presented by South Simcoe United Football Club.
